Southern Africa LPI Training Workshop Achieves 75% Pass Rate

The 2nd training of trainers workshop of ict-innovation's Linux Admin Certification Pillar was recently held in Johannesburg, South Africa. A total of 19 students attended the two week course which was conducted by the Linux training company, Jumping Bean.

As per the 1st training course attendees were keen participants in the course and came from all over Southern Africa including:

  • South Africa
  • Mozambique
  • Zimbabwe
  • Zambia
  • Namibia and
  • Zimbabwe

Growing FOSS Capacity in Africa

On the last day of the training 16 students wrote the LPI level 1 exams which consist of LPI 101 and LPI 102 exams. With the results now in, we are happy to announce that over 75% of the students that wrote the exams passed and are now certified linux professionals! Well done to all who participated. Your hard work and dedication to FOSS has paid off!
