FOSS Business Models Trainers met in Braamfontein

On November 29th 2010, a group of 16 trained FOSS Business Models Trainers met in Braamfontein in Johannesburg, South Africa for the 2010 ICT@Innovation Networking Workshop.

The third session of the Advanced African FOSS Business Models Networking & Evaluation Workshop focused almost entirely on the FOSS business models community and “The Way Forward”.

PART 2: Lessons learnt from the roll-outs of the national FOSS Business Models Trainings

The second session of the Advanced African FOSS Business Models Networking & Evaluation Workshop focused on the lessons learnt from the trainings the FOSS Business Models trainers did in their countries. This second session included a number of questions that wanted to explore the seeds of a successful FOSS Business model training (e.g. training embedment, funding concepts, marketing). ict@innovation training book (re-)launched at conference on "ICT and rural economic development" in Berlin

Last week, the German "ICT for Development" community met in Berlin for a two day gathering on the topic of "ICT and rural economic development" organized by GTZ on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). I had the pleasure to be a moderator of a working group, which deliberated on "innovative business models". Of course I could not resist to talk about our ict@innovation product "Free your IT-Business in Africa!”.
